The Alphabet of Vitamins

A vitamin is simply defined as a key nutrient that everyone's body needs to help grow and stay physically healthy and strong. Altogether there are 13 different types of vitamins that have been discovered in various sources from 1909 to the latest in 1941. Out of the 13 vitamins 4 are fat soluble leaving the other 9 as water soluble. This basically means that water soluble vitamins can't be stored in the body so they need to be consumed in your diet on a daily basis, whilst fat soluble can be stored in your body and won't need to be taken on a daily basis. The main types of vitamins that are always present in the human diet are A, C, D and E which can be found in many types of food products and from other sources. Vitamin A Vitamin A also known as Retinol is the main essential nutrient for all people and was the first vitamin to be discovered back in 1909 from a source of cod liver oil. Vitamin A can be found in a wide range of food products like meat such as beef, pork, chicken, turkey, fish and vegetables such as peas and broccoli.

Vitamin Supplements

While the inventor thought that he had found an important chemical vital to life, it was found that he was theoretically right, in the sense that the lack of vitamins in the body could cause diseases. Essentially organic substances, vitamins are found in abundance in natural foods like fruits and vegetables. These have been found to be important to maintain normal metabolic processes in our body. There are two types of vitamins - fat and water soluble. While most vitamins are water soluble, vitamins A, D, E and K are fat soluble. Some are destroyed by heat; the notable amongst these is vitamin C, which can be lost due to cooking. Most of the other vitamins remain stable even when heated. It must be remembered that while large amounts of vitamins are not necessary for the body, but any deficiency, however small it might be, could result in a wide range of ailments. All the vitamins which our body needs could theoretically be had if we had a mixed diet including some protective foods.

A Word of Caution About Purchasing Weightlifting Supplements

Before you go out and spend a great deal of money on a bunch of bodybuilding or weightlifting supplements, I would like you to keep a few things in mind. Bodybuilding supplements are very popular among many trainees and are available for purchase in many online and retail stores. Some products are a no brainer, such as those supplements that are filled with protein. These products, after all, contain protein which is essential in building muscle mass and maintaining the health of your muscles while you're training. These products are very convenient and come in many forms including bars, shakes, and pills. However, you should be cautious and not believe that bodybuilding supplements are absolutely necessary to your success. In fact, you can go a long way without purchasing any supplements at all. Even though you may think that bodybuilding supplements are not that expensive, the cost can add up very quickly and take a huge chunk out of your bank account. Nutritionists have a great saying when it comes to these kind of supplements: "Let the buyer beware.

The Benefits of Whey Protein

We all have read the nutrition labels and know how important macronutrients are to our life. After all, without carbohydrates, protein, and fats we wouldn't be able to have energy. However, there is one macronutrient that serves a greater purpose than to be used as fuel, and that is protein. Proteins are different because they are composed of chains of nitrogen. This is further divided into little units called amino acids - and these are the basic building blocks of muscle. Amino acids also serve as an essential source of dietary nitrogen, which is an essential element for your body. These amino acids are the building blocks of lean muscle. This is where whey protein enters the picture. Whey supplies all of the essential amino acids and digests very quickly - usually within 30 minutes. Whey protein is also very inexpensive and, especially chocolate whey, can taste great. One of the best times to take whey protein is right after you workout. The reason for this is that your muscles are depleted of their glycogen reserves and your muscle tissues are broken down.

Whey Protein Concentrate - Is This the Best Protein?

When you start researching whey protein products, you will find that whey comes in three forms. These include whey protein isolate, whey protein hydrolysate, and whey protein concentrate. So, which whey is the right one to aid in your body building endeavors? It is widely believed now that whey protein isolate is the best choice, because it is whey in its purest form. However, there are some people who do better with a whey protein concentrate. Whey protein isolates do not contain any lactose, fat, or carbohydrates. While this may be great for someone who is in good shape already, it really isn't necessarily the best choice for someone who needs to build muscle and gain a little weight as well. In this case, the whey concentrate is indeed the better choice. Whey concentrates do have little fat and cholesterol, but also have a high amount of carbohydrates. It is important to note that while whey isolate has about 90% pure protein, whey concentrate does not have as much pure protein.

Benefits of 100 Pure Aloe Vera - Stay Healthy With 100 Pure Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is well known plant but it is little appreciated. It has been used for medicinal and beauty purposes for centuries. It 's heeling properties are known pretty well and as early as 6500 BC it was used and acknowledged for it's curative purposes. Even then some people do not think of it as any more than a burn ointment or an analgesic gel for minor injuries, cuts and wounds. However, there are some oral 100% pure aloe vera supplements that can provide unmatched health benefits that a large proportion of people are unaware of. A better understanding of this plant comes from realizing that most of our health problems stem from a compromised digestive tract and immune system. Many people have problems in the intestinal tract and they do not even know it. When the walls of the intestines become inflamed, they let toxins and tiny food particles into the bloodstream. This is what is called the Leaky Gut Syndrome. This puts a lot of pressure on the liver and immune system since they have to constantly fight off these toxins and particles.
