<title>Information About Migraine Headaches - Causes and Symptoms</title>
         <link>http://poznaisebya.com/newsengall/pain-management/news_2008-06-14-08-28-05-293.html</link>
<description> Migraines can be very painful and very distressing. They can even become the governing body of our lives, affecting what we do and how we do it. The symptoms cover everything form severe headache to throbbing pain, from feeling giddy to the inability to stand, from feeling unwell to actual nausea and vomiting. They can develop at any time and can really restrict our lives. Migraines do not discriminate. They can be experienced by both men and women, old and young, run in families, affect one work colleague but not another, there seems to be no hard and fast rules.

<title>Bone Density Loss - Prevention a Far Better Option to Treatment</title>
         <link>http://poznaisebya.com/newsengall/pain-management/news_2008-06-13-20-14-09-273.html</link>
<description> Did you know that you were meant to have strong, and healthy, bones throughout your lifetime? Unfortunately, about 40 percent, currently, of American women and about 6 percent of American men, over the age of 50, will have a vertebral fracture due to bone mass loss (or osteoporosis). This disease has, typically, always been more prevalent in women than in men. While many women may have a loss of bone mass, they experience this trend earlier in their lives than men, both genders by the age of 65 to 70 lose bone density at the same rate.

         <title>Does Anyone Walk Normally?</title>
         <link>http://poznaisebya.com/newsengall/pain-management/news_2008-06-12-23-36-07-530.html</link>
<description> Almost every American has experienced some type of foot pain in their lives. In this age of insoles and orthotics for every activity and every shoe on the market; my patients often ask, &quot;Does anyone walk normally?&quot; And what is &quot;normal gait&quot; anyway? In normal gait, your heel swings from side to side as your foot moves. Your foot can flatten and regain its arch as you walk, if your heel swings correctly. (normal pronation with resupination) But if your heel swings too much, your foot may flatten more than it should.

<title>Pain is Not the Only Affliction of a Migraine</title>
         <link>http://poznaisebya.com/newsengall/pain-management/news_2008-06-11-23-57-03-987.html</link>
<description> One must understand that pain is only one of the afflictions that a migraine victims suffers. For some people with migraines, they may experience work-related difficulty and/or an undeserved reputation for emotional problems. Acknowledging the disease is the first thing that friends, family; employers, and coworkers can do to help. People that coming into contact with the migraine sufferer need to understand that this needs to be treated like an illness and also that it is not planned. Migraines tend to come at the most inopportune time especially if the person is having a stressful time at work or if there is a specific event in their life that is proving to be stressful for the individual.

         <link>http://poznaisebya.com/newsengall/pain-management/news_2008-06-11-23-30-07-104.html</link>
<description> There are a number of people who are concerned about NSAIDs since the popular drugs valdecoxib and rofecoxib were pulled by the FDA. Since then, the FDA has also increased its warnings regarding NSAID usage for long term chronic conditions. The FDA warns that the long term use of NSAIDs may increase your risk for stroke, heart attack and for gastrointestinal bleeding. With those warnings, many with arthritis are now looking for alternative for arthritis. There are two things to keep in mind when looking at other lines of defense against the inflammation associated with arthritis.

<title>Using Triptans to Treat Migraine Headaches</title>
         <link>http://poznaisebya.com/newsengall/pain-management/news_2008-06-11-02-07-06-305.html</link>
<description> For the many millions of people who suffer from migraines finding an effective treatment has been difficult and has taken a considerable time. Even after years of research there is no miracle cure, but a new class of drugs known as triptans are as close to a miracle cure as we have come for these often intensely painful headaches that can strike at any time. The triptans are a form of drug which is chemically similar to serotonin, which is itself a neurotransmitter that is believed to play a part in causing migraines.

<title>Cluster Headaches Are One of the Most Painful Conditions Known to Man</title>
         <link>http://poznaisebya.com/newsengall/pain-management/news_2008-06-11-01-45-03-458.html</link>
<description> Cluster headaches are one of the most painful conditions known and their only saving grace is that they are fortunately quite rare. For example, although about one person in ten of the population suffers from migraine, only about one person in three hundred will experience a cluster headache. Cluster headaches often appear as what many sufferers describe as a hot and stabbing pain behind just one eye or in the area of the temple. Their main characteristic however is that they follow a timetable and will appear at the same time every day often for several days, or even weeks or months at a time.

<title>The Use of Ibuprofen in Treating Headaches</title>
         <link>http://poznaisebya.com/newsengall/pain-management/news_2008-06-11-01-22-02-197.html</link>
<description> For many years aspirin has been seen as a wonder drug for treating many different conditions including headaches. Today however there are a number of other drugs which are being used in place of aspirin and one of these is Ibuprofen. Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug and, like aspirin, it is its ability to reduce inflammation which makes it effective in treating headaches, because it is inflammation which helps to generate the nerve signals we perceive as pain. Ibuprofen is used today to treat a wide range of conditions and, just like aspirin, it can be very effective but can also produces a number of unwanted side-effects such as stomach upset, blood in the stools and occasionally dizziness.

<title>Why Seeking Medical Advice For Your Headache is a Good Idea</title>
         <link>http://poznaisebya.com/newsengall/pain-management/news_2008-06-11-00-58-07-510.html</link>
<description> When it comes to diagnosing a range of medical conditions it can he a lot harder than you might think and this includes the diagnosis of headaches. Many people for instance who suffer from sinusitis, which is an inflammation of the sinus cavities causing head pain, believe that they have sinus headaches when they are in fact suffering from mild migraine. For this reason if you are suffering from frequent headaches it is a good idea to talk to your physician and get a proper diagnosis. However, before you do so it is also a good idea to collect together some information to help your physician and this can best be done by keeping a headache diary.
