If you want to donate your hair or sell your hair for use in making human hair wigs, keeping it in the very best possible condition is crucial. There are many techniques for keeping long hair healthy. The goals in cutting long hair or hair that is being grown out are different than the goals behind cutting hair for style. Even if you are not selling or donating it, most people who have long hair want it to look as beautiful as it can, and keeping it in good condition will be just as important to them. Above all, if you have long hair you must try to keep your hair free of damage or split ends. Be sure to trim your hair to even it out. After skipping too many haircuts long hair can become quite uneven. If you need to, you may want to change the style of your hair to eliminate more of the dry or damaged areas. This can be achieved without sacrificing length. Your hair can remain long and beautiful, while you improve its condition by cutting bangs and/or layers. Hair grows at a relatively consistent rate.
There's nothing worse than the being excited to get home with a new product, feeling the anticipation of a transformation not short of commercial-worthy, and then whoa... a red irritated face. Before you resort to mixing Great Aunt Beatrice's miracle poultice, here's some ingrediants that may be contributing to this "situation". "Gee, your hair smells.." like a sun-drenched field of flowers in the South of France, but the fragrance that is in it is likely to contain VOC's (volatile organic compounds) which The American Academy of Dermatology says is the #1 cause of cosmetic reactions. But why would that irritate your skin if you used it on your hair? If you wash your hair in the shower, the soap residue rinses down the entire body. Think about how many of your products contain fragrance. From your soap to lotion, we are very smell oriented. Fear not though, you can still smell like night blooming jasmine, just look for products that are phthalate free. This requires actively reading labels and searching for companies committed to phthalate free products, but the trade-off is worth it.
Nothing can age you as fast as droopy eyes with fine lines and wrinkles. As we age, our skin produces less collagen, which means less elasticity so the skin around the eyes begins to droop. If you're thinking of going for an eye lift or injections - wait! A good eye cream could be a much better choice. Why you ask? We're going to tell you! See, a quality eye cream may give you the benefits of an eye lift, but without cosmetic surgery. Here's how: 1. Non Invasive, No Injections An eye lift is no small affair. It's an invasive procedure that has the risk of complications, bruising and swelling, and it also takes time to heal. For your eye cream to work, all you need to do is choose a quality cream apply it and watch the results appear. Look for less crow's feet, and under eye bags and circles. It's that simple. 2. No Pain When was the last time putting a cream on your face or around your eyes hurt? That's right it doesn't. In fact, applying your eye cream will feel refreshing and leave your eye area feeling moisturized and the skin soft and supple.
Women - and many men - are concerned about how their hair looks, and they want to take good care of it. Unfortunately, they do not know which products will work the best for them and which ones are the best values for the money. These are not always the same thing, either, so it is important to pay attention to prices, labels, and the advice of consultants who have experience in this issue. These people are the ones who know all about the products that are offered, and they have a good idea as to what works the best on what type of hair. A blonde person with very thin, wispy hair will not need the same kind of hair care products as an African-American person with very thick, coarse, curly hair. Knowing what kind of products should be used and where to get them can make hair care much easier and can help ensure that money is not wasted on products that are not good quality. These products just end up being thrown away because the consumer does not think that they work, which is also hard on the environment.

Sometimes you just don't feel like putting on your makeup in the morning. Every girl knows that feeling! Maybe it was a particularly 'challenging' evening the night before. Who know's, maybe even a few glasses of wine were involved; ) And the next morning you just aren't feeling that 'beauty is important' feeling. It's natural girls. I have certainly been there. The thing is that I am here to tell you that putting on makeup is a bit like that poem by Rudyard Kipling. You know, the one called 'If'. I am sure you have heard it. All very macho, male bonding stuff, about not losing your head when all around you are losing theirs. And you will be a man 'my son'. It's a great poem, and it has a lot of parallels to the feelings that us ladies need to have in the morning when it seems like we just can't raise ourselves to putting on that eye liner, or mascara. Because it is in our moments of greatest weakness. When we are feeling at our lowest ebb that we really need to step up to the plate and put on some slap!
Oh baby - lookin' HOT! Where on earth did you get that fantastic hair do? Oh man, you will rock someone's world tonight kitten. Say what? What do you mean it's not your hair? It is? Oh shut up! Hair extensions you say? How does that work? Hair extensions have got to be about the greatest thing since sliced bread. Have them woven (bonded) into your own hair and off you go to create a scene. Well ok, not a scene, but you will definitely be turning some heads when you sport your new hair extensions. One thing you have to remember though is hair extensions are not considered to be permanent. This means that in order to keep them looking good and properly maintained, you have to make regular visits to the hairdresser. If you went to the salon every two months or so with your own hair, nothing will change! You will need to have the bonds checked, and either have the extensions removed (takes about an hour) or "spiffed" up to maintain your hair style. If you're going to change styles or colors, this would be the time to do it.

One of the questions I am most frequently asked is "how do I overcome muscle building plateaus?" When you are stuck with a certain weight on a certain exercise but are progressing across the board with the rest of your program there are a few things you can do. Sometimes making five pound weight jumps is too much for most people. The problem, however is that you have no other choice. Most gyms only carry 2.5 pound plates which amount to a five pound increase when you put one on each side of the bar. With dumbbells it's even worse because they go up in five pound increments which amount to ten pounds total. The way around this is to invest in some 1.25 pound plates and some Plate Mates. If you search the internet you can some sites that carry 1.25 pound plates or even one pound plates. These are great for adding to the bar in order to make small, consistent gains, week after week. Plate Mates are weighted magnets that come in 1.25 and 5/8 pound increments. They can be stuck on the end of dumbbells to allow for smaller increases from week to week.
