All of them are easy to find and cost practically nothing.

Cinnamon. You probably already have cinnamon in your kitchen. It not only smells good it can be used to treat a wide variety of problems and help ward off illness. Just add a pinch of coarsely powdered cinnamon to boiling water with a little honey and drink it to ward off colds and flu. Some herbalists say that this can be as effective as a flu shot when used on a regular basis.

Coriander. Use the leaves of coriander on a regular basis and this could add a real boost to your life as they are considered to be an aphrodisiac.

Dill. Including this in your daily diet can help keep your stomach and intestinal organs running smoothly and naturally. It can be added to numerous foods and also may help you sleep better.

Cumin. Cumin seeds are considered by many herbalists to be an all-around cure and preventative for a many illnesses. They are considered to be both a natural antiseptic and a stimulant. Cumin seeds are particularly helpful with stomach disorders.

Chicory. Chicory is a well-known tonic and a very rich source of vitamin A. It can be mixed with the juice of carrots, celery and parsley to make a wonderful and nutritional drink that will keep your muscular system in top shape. It can even be added to coffee to form a flavorful and healthy morning drink.

Cloves. Cloves offer many medicinal properties, mostly as a stimulant. They can help cure of sluggish digestive system and regulate your body's temperature.

Dandelion. Dandelion leaves offer many significant medicinal uses. Perhaps its most well-known for its therapeutic value when drunk as an alternative to coffee or tea.

Curry. Curry leaves are a good herbal tonic that many herbalists believe will strengthen the stomach and keep the digestive system in good working order. This herb is also used in some cases as a gentle laxative. The juice of curry leaves are thought to work exceptionally well in treating nausea and morning sickness.

Datura. The dried seeds and leaves of the Datura can be especially helpful for those who suffer from asthma. They are also an excellent remedy for distress, palpitations and heart disorders.

Thousands of years

The Chinese have relied on the use of herbs for thousands of years. They have herbs in cooking and in many of the traditional herbal medicine remedies. In fact, the Chinese swear that herbal remedies work just as effectively, if not better, than the more traditional medications.
