EFT- Introduction To Emotional Freedom Technique What It Can Do For Your Physical Mental Health
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique. It is an energy therapy technique developed by Mr. Gary Craig for releasing mental and emotional energy blocks by tapping on the acupressure points on the body. EFT is based on the discovery statement that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy systems. These energetic disruptions then create physical manifestations in the body such as chronic pain, rashes, asthma, and migraines as well as mental conditions such as phobias, anxiety, depression, etc.
Most people are familiar with acupuncture, which is based on the same theory, that there are energy channels (meridians) running throughout the body like rivers of energy or energy pipes, and these meridians can become blocked for one reason or another which is like putting a dam on the energy "river". In acupuncture needles are inserted into the body to release these blockages but in EFT the tip of the fingers are used to gently tap on these special acupressure points while focusing on the problem, to reset the energy system and promote the free flow of energy. The result is improved physical and mental health and well being.
An other great principle that EFT draws upon is the immense power of Love and Forgiveness in healing basically any condition you can think of. The interesting thing is that for many of us the hardest thing may not be forgiving others as one would think, but forgiving ourselves.
EFT often gets results when nothing else will and has been shown to be effective for the following conditions: Pain Management, Addictions, Weight loss, Allergies, Children's Issues, Animals, Vision, Headaches, Panic/Anxiety, Asthma, Trauma, PTSD, Abuse, Depression, Dyslexia, Carpal Tunnel, Anger, ADD-ADHD, Fears/phobias, Eating disorders, OCD, Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Neuropathy, Fear of Flying, Claustrophobia, Agoraphobia, Anorexia/Bulimia, Sports and other Performance.
You can effectively "dissolve" any of the above conditions by finding the underlying emotional block that is causing the physical condition to be held in place. Once you resolve the emotional or energy blockage with EFT, then the physical condition will also disappear.*
