Sinus Headache - What Causes It? And How Do I Get Rid of It?

I've had sinus headaches since I was a little kid. Although I didn't always know they were sinus headaches. I just knew that my head hurt all the time. I felt the constant pain and pressure behind my forehead and sometimes at the top of my head or behind my eyes. And I knew I couldn't go swimming in the pool with all the other kids because as soon as I went underwater I felt like my head was literally going to "burst' from the pressure. I can still remember the sharp, shooting pains that I fell behind my eyes and face when I would bend over to tie my shoes. I've always thought that the only mystery that really compared to a chronic sinus headache was a toothache.

The Air You Breathe Does It Need A Purifier

Allergies are a major problem for many people. Sneezing, coughing, itchy eyes... all year long. Allergy shots, diet, and medicine can help the symptoms, but you need to find a way to stop the source of allergies. An air purification system is the perfect solution. You have plenty of options when looking to purchase an air purification system. First of all, A Hepa filter system uses a high efficiency filter and a fan to blow through and trap dirty particles. It also has a separate carbon filter specifically designed to filter out molds and odors. This type of filter is the best in quality, as proven in tests by scientific organizations. Everything this type of filter does is top quality.

Living with Allergies

Most people can't wait for spring to roll in after a long cold winter. However I always find myself wishing for one more snow. Although I do like the winter weather, one big reason I'm not anxious for spring is because I know that with spring comes pollen. And for me that means itchy eyes, a stuffy nose, and problems breathing. It is not a fun time for me, and I am usually quite grumpy. What are allergies? Your immune system is your personal bodyguard that protects you from harmful substances such as germs. Some peoples bodies get mixed up and begin to attack harmless substances like pollen or animal hair. If you have allergies, your bodyguard is overprotective, and is treating substances that are generally harmless, as if they were a more serious threat.

Surviving Outdoor Allergies Naturally

Spring means many different things, to many different people. For individuals who live with seasonal outdoor allergies, it means finding a way to cope with months of discomfort every time they step outside. Each year, millions of allergy sufferers instinctively reach for over-the-counter medications and prescription drugs as their first line of defense. Unfortunately, not all users take the time to read and fully understand the potential side effects of these chemicals. Allergy medications work by suppressing the immune system to prevent the release of a substance called histamine. Under certain circumstances, haphazardly taking these medications could pose a significant health threat to individuals with a compromised immune system.

Food Allergies Or Food Poisoning?

Many of the symptoms caused by allergies are also similar to food poisoning. This is especially true of stomach upset, diarrhea, and unpleasant side-effects along those lines (see gluten allergy symptoms for some specific examples). With the possibility of having identical symptoms, how do you know if you really have allergies, or if you are dealing with food poisoning? First of all, the allergy symptoms are not identical to food poisoning symptoms in most cases. There are often other effects that are not the same as food poisoning. The main thing to watch out for are the patterns of when you experience the symptoms. In most cases, food poisoning is a one-off thing.

Allergy Season Is Just Around the Corner

For some in the Chicago area, allergy season means a trip to one the various hospitals in Illinois for shots and more. The three recommended treatments include avoidance, immunotherapy and medication. The first of these, avoidance, is up to the patient. The experts recommend the following suggestions to avoid some allergens. During the pollen season when the pollen count is high, stay indoors as much as possible. This is especially important during windy days, which can happen frequently for those in the Chicago area. Another way to avoid some allergens is to dust proof your home. Since you spend so much time in the bedroom sleeping, it is especially important to dust proof that area.

New Advanced Sinus Irrigation System Hits the Market - the SinuPulse Elite

After two painful sinus operations which didn't resolve my problems, I started using pulsating nasal irrigation with a saline solution, and since then my health has improved dramatically. Instead of 2-3 or more sinus infections per year I have had two infections in 7 years, and those only occurred after long 24 hour trips from overseas when my resistance was way down. I used to get colds all the time, but now I watch others with colds and remark to myself how I never get them any more! Needless to say, I'm sold on pulsating sinus irrigation. (Note- I tried using a Neti Pot, but that method didn't work for me at all. There is something about the fast pulses of water that is particularly effective.

Hypoallergenic Cats For Cat Allergies

Are there hypoallergenic cats to help with you with your cat allergies? There is a common misconception that hypoallergenic cats or dogs mean allergy free but there are no allergy free cats or dogs. Hypoallergenic means less allergenic not allergy free. Cat allergies are caused by a protein in cat saliva and skin. As cats are constantly grooming themselves the protein gets on cat fur. The microscopic particles are easily airborne and can migrate quickly through out a house. Common cat allergy symptoms are itchy eyes, wheezing, runny nose, and coughing. The protein causes a allergic reaction when the immune system over reacts which leads to excess histamines.
