Free Newsletter Ideas Sure to Inspire
Inspiration for the company newsletter can come in any form. It is more likely to be read if it is interesting and creative, fun and well-written, but it also must have some pizzazz to entice the reader to read it from top to bottom.
This inspiration can come in unlikely forms. It is important to know that great marketing specialists and advertisers know that simple ideas translate better in the newsletter medium than more complex ideas. If the reader is unable to grasp the concepts, then the newsletter is failing at informing the reader as to what is being sold.
How Do I Use This Product Anyway?
It is possible to take inspiration from any source available. If a company is selling outdoor gear, of course it will want to feature pictures of the great outdoors in its newsletter and describe how the gear is used in natural situations. But a newsletter that shows how to transport the gear, how to stow it at home in a normal sized garage, how to price it and sell it at a garage sale, how not to use the gear, silly (but safe) videos of people using the gear in unexpected an funny ways, or the gear winning any national awards are all ideas that are sure to please any reader. Can animals be seen using the gear? Can demonstrations out of season be found locally using the gear as a way to meet other enthusiasts? These are all inspiration for creating a newsletter on gear that is typically sold with a picture of a mountain in the background and the gear in the foreground. By using other inspirational photos, news, current events and graphics, the newsletter will become more creative and exciting for the reader to read while considering buying the gear being advertised.
Other tips to inspire the newsletter content are that the company should consider the other members of the target audience. By knowing the needs of the target audience, the company can set up the newsletter to fill the needs of that audience with the product. Showing the target audience using the product, having others give testimonials, showing customers asking questions related to the product are all ways to drill down to get to the reasons that the target audience buys or does not buy the product. Also, it may uncover the times that the customer most wants to buy the product, or what the person may be willing to spend on the product. The company can set up scenarios or unsafe situations where the product will come in handy, solve the problem or alleviate the stress of the scenario as portrayed. These are all ideas on what to put into a product based newsletter.
Finally, other inspiration can come from the customers themselves. By asking for feedback, the customers can tell a company what they want from a product, and how they wish it would be available for their needs. A rocking chair painted pink for a nursery, in a geometric pattern for a teenager, or painted rust colored or natural tones for a front farmer porch will creatively show the customer how an unfinished rocking chair can be used in different ways. Newsletters will inspire the customers to use the product in many different areas of their lives, the inspiration for the newsletters can come in any shape or form, as long as it is fun to read about the results.
