Beat Adwords Now - If You Can't Beat Adwords You Must Read This Article
To earn a ton of money online (and it is possible) it is vital to beat Adwords and master pay-per-click advertising. When first starting out with internet marketing it is very possible to create an Adwords campaign and have no idea what you are doing and lose a whole lot of money. I've done this myself.
I created a campaign, got a whole heap of keywords, put them in a few adgroups, wrote an ad for each of my adgroups and I expected the money to come in. My first problem was expecting the money to come in as it gave me great disappointment. I wanted to quit my crappy office job. This was my way out, and as it seemed I failed...
I began to find ways to learn more about how to beat adwords. I searched on the internet, as I'm sure you are, to find out about techniques to beat Adwords. The fact of the matter is that there are so many reasons why people, like myself a year ago, cannot succeed online. Beating Adwords is just like any other skill in the world, it takes time to get good at it. You can't just expect to read an e-book and think that now you can setup your first campaign and get heaps of sales everyday. No. It does not work like this.
You need to think like your customer, know what they want, so that when they read your ad they think...that's what I'm looking for. An example if you will....
A consumer wants a dog training product, a program, called "Old Mate's Dog Training Program", so they do a search for 'old mate's dog training program' in Google. Up comes a range of Adwords ads on the right hand side. One of these ads has the title:
Old Mate's Dog Training Program (more than 25 character I know, it's just an example ok!)
While another one, just below it says...
Your Dog Is Disobedient
Which one will grab your attention? Clearly the second one. This will have the user clicking on this ad which will lead to either your merchants sales page, or your own landing page. I won't go into the importance of having a landing page in contrast to using direct linking but trust me, it is vital to have a landing page if you ever intend to beat Adwords and earning a full time income online.
Another tactic in increasing your CTR is having the keywords from your adgroup in your adcopy. Google bolds these words and hence, attracts the attention of the searcher. Not to mention this increases relevancy of your adgroups, and this increases your quality score, and lowers your CPC. Increasing CTR and decreasing CPC is all you have to do to beat Adwords. Increasing CTR consists of such strategies as:
-keyword in adcopy
-asking the user a question
-adding in how's and here's
-adding in words such as scam, exposed
-going against what the user thinks
Decreasing CPC involves
-having a high CTR
-having adgroups with keywords that share two common words
-having adgroups with no more than 25 unique keywords
-having a good account history
-relevance between adgroup, keywords, and landing page/merchant sales page
If you can do these things you will beat Adwords with no trouble at all. If you really want to beat Adwords, then it is vital to have an in-depth knowledge of exactly what Google wants in their landing pages, adgroups, keywords, and adcopy.
