E-zine Advertising - Do Your Homework

Like all advertising avenues, there are fans of E-zine advertising and those who are against it. The reason? Well, those against will shout that no one reads them anymore. True, a vast number of people that sign up with E-zines either ignore them or read them inconsistently. With so many floating around, it is sometimes hard to remember signing up for one. Repetition leads to disregard as well. The same information is passed through email boxes so many times that there is a "read one, read them all" attitude among recipients.

So if you want to use E-zine ads as part of your campaigns, it's up to you to write smart. One way to emphasize your E-zine ads is by first writing a viral report. Take the time to expand the virtues of your product.

Begin by writing a title that compels readers to want to learn more. Take time to read through several E-zines and see what titles grab you. Chances are the same titles can be re-worded to lend their magic to your campaigns. Get your report spreading through forums by placing it yourself. Have your ads link back to that report and soon people will be bouncing it on their pages too.

Once your report has begun circulation, you want to take the momentum and begin using E-zines.

Solo ads, though larger and more costly to place, will pull readers to you. Start with the smaller E-zine publications that directly relate to your product. Use all the psychological pulls you can without turning the ad into a mockery. As your profit margin builds, so can the number and level of E-zine publications you target.

Once you're ready to spend a higher rate of your margin,use publications not normally listed in E-Zine directories. It's up to you how "high-end" you want to go but remember the more elite the E-zine the more likely your ad will be taken seriously.
