The Road to Internet Success - Creating Audio Products

The internet is the Mecca of business in the entire world and, who knows, perhaps even the universe. The potential to make money and create a better life for yourself by using the internet as your stomping grounds is virtually limitless. The only person you would have to blame for not making it is yourself as there are so many avenues for you to create and sell products that people will want - no matter what it is. In fact audio products are an excellent means of moving forward on the road to internet success.

XM and Sirius radio cornered the market on satellite music with low cost, usually commercial free content. Napster, Limewire and BitTorrent allowed peer to peer downloading and sharing of video and audio content an absolute breeze. Radio and audio media are powerful tools.

Now we are in the age of Pod Casting. With the advent of podcasting it has become more and more prevalent to see a mass amount of streaming audio content making its way into web sites and blogs. They are also selling tools or even products themselves. For example music clips are used to tease as well as to entice a possible buyer of the full song.

The content for audio files (especially MP3) is usually fairly small. At about three megabytes, more or less it is much smaller than video. Broadband connection is not really needed when streaming audio (it is always helpful though) and certainly to not download it out right. Streaming audio has less degradation than video. This makes it much more convenient as a selling tool. There are millions of people listening to audio content on a daily basis in one form or another - all of them are your potential customers. All of them can help you move down the road to internet success.

Do you have something that needs to be said? For example do you have information that you can share with other people to help them make money, get out of debt or live better lives? If you do then you can make money online by selling this information and by selling it in audio format!

What should you do? Podcasting is an option. Having the files available for downloading is also popular? Both have their pros and cons. Podcasting is streaming audio and is more advanced to deal with than simply allowing downloading of content. You need to set up SSL security, have a mass amount of bandwidth and a host that will allow it. Podcasting does, however, allow for live audio feeds so that makes conference calling online to group meetings possible. Downloading does not but it allows you the freedom to create whatever you want. It can placed online and encode so it can't be listened to without a code that you provide after it has been purchased.

Creating your own content is not difficult. You need a computer, internet connection, hosting service and a microphone. Basically all you need to so is to write your script. Be sure to make them short - under 5 minutes in length - and you record it then simply save and post. You can become more advanced and encode for security, or compress the audio for smaller download times and the like. No matter how you handle it, audio is a great vehicle for moving down the road to internet success.

To your internet marketing success!
