Control the Exhibit, Create the Sale
Controlling the environment is a fundamental lesson in sales. But often at a trade show or exhibition - where selling is the purpose of the convention - control is the one thing missing, especially in lighting. Knowing the lighting situation before arriving on scene is as important as knowing the competition. When you know what you have to work with, you can develop a plan to control the environment and entice customers. With the blaring overhead lights at most convention centers, too much additional lighting coming from trade show exhibitors with flood lamps can create a true deer-in-the-headlights look from customers. However, if the exhibit hall is dimly lit, only having a few clip-on display lights can make your area disappear in the corner.
The Money Topic
The Big Money Topic! I am incredibly passionate about teaching others the Art of Public Speaking from the beginner who is scared to death of public speaking to the advanced speaker who needs to create presentations that get their audience to take action now. My creative mind never stops when it comes to public speaking. I find myself waking up at 4 am with all these fabulous ideas for my students. I love it so much. It is an obsession and my creative outlet. A couple of days ago I woke up with something that I felt absolutely needed to be said. It is directed towards anyone who is truly interested in being a professional speaker. People will pay thousands of dollars for any topic related to money, i.
Business Meetings and Presentations
Business Meetings are an occasion where you can show your expertise as well as keen approach towards business concepts as well as the policies adopted by the market. These meetings can be your monthly sales review meeting, annual projection meeting, work assessment meeting or just a get together to enjoy the milestones achieved by your organization. Presentation - An Essential Need of Business Meetings Whatever is the occasion, presentations are the most effective and stronger tool available for business executives. Because this is the thing with which they can put their ideas, suggestions, and work performance live in front of the reviewers or policy makers or their colleagues to comment.
Adds Value With Purposeful Presentations
Think Through Purpose What's the reason for the presentation in the first place? Figure out the main reason and stay focused on it. You might ask yourself whether any of these purposes fit: To provide status To obtain approval To sell a product To communicate a program To propose a new business opportunity To convince management to fund a project Know Your Audience What does the audience need to know? Keep your information fine-tuned to your audience's needs. When presenting to executive management don't focus on the nitty-gritty details. Instead focus on the bigger picture. Present the return on investment and any obstacles you need management's help to overcome.
Technical Managers - One Strategy That Will Make Your Presentations More Compelling!
OK, so you know that you have to give a presentation soon. What is your initial set of reactions to that specific speaking experience? Many Technical Managers have told me that their response goes something along these lines: "How will I look?" "Will I embarrass myself? "What information do I need?" "What kind of data do I have to collect?" "What kind of research do I have to do?" "How many PowerPoint slides will I need?" "I don't want to open myself up to criticism! " Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! These are the thoughts of a "Self-Centered Speaker." The first thoughts of this type of speaker is on content, process, worry, fear, and concern. Here is something that I have discovered in working with thousands of people on their speaking skills: "The more self-concerned you are, the less effective you will be in front of an audience!
12 Key Steps to Great Speaking and Communicating Step 5 Playing in the Open
PREVIOUS STEPS TO GREAT SPEAKING AND COMMUNICATING: STEP 1 THE PUBLIC ARENA IS A SPACE OR SPACIOUSNESS, which needs to be filled with life and self-expression. It is empty without that filling. This is where the courage to speak goes. My audience can only act as a sponge to what I'm going through physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. STEP 2 THE PUBLIC REALM HAS DIFFERENT RULES OF CONDUCT. The public realm is not social, personal nor intimate or office related. Being watched is a circumstance, hence the formidable power an audience can have on a speaker or communicator. In the public speaking realm, the speaker is the star of the show. He or she is the center, the piиce de resistance, the highlight, and the #1 active ingredient in the formula.
Event Transportation Management Guide
Putting on an event often requires dealing with many types of vendors from various specialized trades. The display units, equipment, and merchandise needed for the smooth operation of your event may require special event transportation management on account of their size, shape and value. Additionally, some or all of these items may need to be stored on their respective delivery trucks, depending on how they might be affected by inclement weather, or for lack of other storage space. Conveniently, there are companies which provide specialized and insured delivery service for fragile, sensitive or valuable items. However, these types of transportation systems are usually more expensive, due to the risk of liability and effort involved in their successful delivery.
Unique and Intriguing Venues to Host Your Event
When organizing an event, the choice of venue is a make or break scenario. Choose wisely and you can be sure everything else will fall into place. But choose an unsuitable venue and you run the risk of failing to make the impression you initially hoped. What people often forget is the wide range of unique venues available, all guaranteed to make an impact. How would you like to host your event in a historic castle, on a battleship, or 400ft in the air? With the wide variety of venues available for hire, organizing a conference, meeting, party or social gathering no longer has to involve booking a boring hotel function room. Tourist Attractions - Tourist hotspots are prime locations for events.
Advanced Presentation Skills Training
I'm going to present to you advanced presentation skills training. Being able to do a presentation right and effectively is extremely important winning over and persuading an audience. I hope to show you the necessary skill to make this work. Don't Read Your Slides: You have to remember one simple thing, the slides of your presentation are for your audience, not yourself. When you read off your slides, you're basically saying to people that you don't know the material. If you're trying to persuade businesses or your boss, you'll probably not get your intended results, no matter how good your material is. Also when you're reading the slides, you're obviously looking away from the audience, which makes it hard to project your voice.
Hosting A Seminar-Course
Introduction This can be quite a nerve-wracking event for a local club instructor. You are hosting a senior grade, specialist instructor or some other form of martial arts VIP. They are going to have to travel quite a distance to visit and teach at your dojo. All of your students are very excited, looking forward to training with this person (s) and you find yourself getting a bit worried about doing the very best job you possibly can so as not to let anyone, either the VIP or your students, down in any way at all. Sometimes, you will have also invited some of the other local instructors, and asked them to bring as many of their own students as they can, so as to have a fair amount of people on the mat on the day, and to help cover some of the extra cost that such an event inevitably incurs (You will normally have to pay a hefty fee to the VIP, as well as cover any and all of their expenses (travel, accommodation, food, drink, site-seeing, etc) as well as having to organise at least one large meal/banquet.
